Introduction

This is a (partial) list of hardware vendors selling and supporting laptop computers with free (as in freedom and/or as in beer) operating systems.

Dell, one of the largest PC vendors in the world, sells desktops and laptops with Ubuntu or FreeDOS pre-installed.

EmperorLinux sells laptops that come with their own EmperorLinux distribution, or, alternatively, with your choice of Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Debian, OpenSUSE, or Slackware.

LinuxCertified sells laptops with Fedora or Ubuntu pre-installed.

system76 sells desktops, laptops, and servers with Ubuntu pre-installed.
